We celebrated a 21st birthday this week! Can you guess which one of us it was, yeah, not me. But in a way, as my now grown up daughter put it, your kids birthday should really be a birthday for the Mom who gave birth. Hmmm is she referring to those 36 hours of pain that lead to a C section that lead to feeling so relieved in recovery that I was out of pain that I forgot I had a baby? OK, aside from that, my daughter is my greatest creation. She’s as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, and as you can see that’s pretty darn beautiful! And I couldn’t be prouder of the woman she has become. Those of you that know us know it’s no accident that this blog that we are sharing is called ‘attached at the hip’.
Having a 21 year old is a little shocking if I focus on the number. Some people have said to me “you must have had her when you were 12!”. OK I’ll go with that. I think what keeps me feeling like I’m somewhere between her generation and mine, (except when I’m trying to work hand held electronics), is that I’m lucky enough to have her still wanting to hang with me.
